It’s not happiness that brings us gratitude. It’s gratitude that brings us happiness.
Today, I have successfully completed giving out a mega food package of ten (10) bags of 25kg bags of rice to ten lucky underprivileged families in the community of Tanji. There are so many underprivileged families here but we can’t literally help all but the few that we are able to help I feel it can create an impact in their lives and bring back a meaningful smile. Remember, every single act of compassion is worthwhile.
The donation came from one of my compassionate lady friend by the name Nancy who lives in Belgium, Europe. It’s her birthday on Monday and in order to make it a fulfilling one in a lifetime, she felt the need to donate to feed some underprivileged families during this trying times; it’s undoubtedly a special way to celebrate a birthday.
The truth is, we cannot help everyone but we can a couple of people and that will mean the world to them sincerely. The world we live today is breaking apart, but it gives me more hope and a common feeling when someone in the other side of the Atlantic dips into his/her wallet and therein propose to support in the forsake of humanity.
In light of the above, I wish to give my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Nancy for her magnanimity. And while thanking her for the generosity shown, I’m equally wishing her a blessed birthday in advance!
